Life Without People
When The People Leave The Cities ...
Kong Sez:
Folks...Mr. "B" and your Editor have been speaking about this for sometime. He was ahead of his time. Now, Global Opportunities Report is writing about same.
Mr. "B" is still saying get out of the big city now! It is going to be a hell hole before too much longer. The late leavers will not make it out....they will die there. Only scorpions, hyenas, and owls will habituate the place. Ohhhh, also the two–legged hyenas too.
Mr. Jim Powell writing in his current newsletter has this to say on the matter:
Global Changes & Opportunities Report For August 2009
Life Without People
Last week I happened to watch the TV program Life Without People. It showed the decay that occurs to cities and structures if humans aren't around to maintain them. Experts in the movie industry created scenes that were very realistic.
One long sequence showed what a U.S. city would look like after being abandoned for 15 years. There was block after block of collapsing houses, stores, churches, and factories. it was very depressing.
As I watched the ruined city roll by, I realized that I was now looking at actual videos, not animations. Later, I learned that the sequence was shot in Detroit. I was shocked.
I had no idea that any American city is in such bad condition. It doesn't fit our country's image of itself, so such stories are not featured by the feel–good national media. Depressed people don't buy cars, houses, or much of anything else. Upset people make trouble for elected officials. Nobody wants those problems.
I have said it before, and I will say it again: what the American people are being told about their country and the world is very carefully managed.
He also writes:
State & Locals Are Also Flat-Lining
In addition toWashington’s bubbles, many state and local governments are also on the edge of failure. As you undoubtedly know, California has been reduced to issuing IOUs instead of checks. Kansas has
“temporarily” stopped making income tax refunds. Philadelphia is no longer paying its vendors. Many cities are laying off police and firemen in droves. Detroit, Gary, and several other large cities have nearly ceased to function. The casualty list is getting longer by
the week.
I think the evidence indicates that the era of big government is coming to an end. The bureaucracies have become little more than collections of self-serving officials, empty promises, and failed plans. The government is nearly out of resources, and it is almost out of time.
